Bizarre ‘humanoid Godzilla’, the size of a grown man, is filmed viciously hunting off the coast of the Galapagos Islands
- Massive lizard filmed off coast of the Galapagos Islands looking for food
- Can be seen digging its nose into the sea bed before swimming up for air
- Moves through the water using its tail and is the same size as a human
Nicknamed ‘Godzilla’ for its rampaging movements and size in comparison to its prey, the majestic lizard was captured in remarkably clear footage hunting for food on the sea bed
It then dives back into the crystal waters, using its lengthy tail to manoeuvre as it glides deeper into the Ocean.
As it continues its hunt, it swims right by one of the divers recording the phenomenal footage.
The video was recorded by Steve Winkworth, at Cabo Marshall, a dive site off the north coast of Isabela in the Galapagos Islands.
It can be seen on the prowl for lunch before swimming almost human-esque to the surface for air
