Russia Announces Complete Destruction Of Islamic State, Why Is No One Reporting This?
(TeaParty.org) – While the Western media was busy publishing one fake news story after another about Mueller’s witch-hunt into the “nothingburger” Trump-Russia collusion scandal, the Russians themselves have actually announced news so shocking it represents the end of a war and a new era in history.
Russian military officials have declared the complete and utter destruction of the Islamic State in Syria. They announced on RT that the region has been completely liberated by Russian forces:
“All terrorist units of ISIS on Syrian soil have been destroyed, and the territory is liberated,” Armed Forces Chief of Staff General Valery Gerasimov said.
“Therefore, as of today, there’s no territory controlled by ISIS in Syria,” he added. Gerasimov made the announcement during an annual briefing for foreign military attachés.
“The mission to defeat bandit units of the Islamic State terrorist organization on the territory of Syria, carried out by the armed forces of the Russian Federation, has been accomplished,” Colonel-General Sergei Rudskoi said on Rossiya 24 TV channel.
Rudskoi described the spectacular defeat of the Islamic State, stating that the final collapse of the jihadist regime was brought on by an “unprecedented deployment and intense combat use” of Russia’s aircraft.
Incidentally, this shocking announcement comes nearly at the same time Trump has declared Jerusalem to be the governing capital of Israel, another move that has the Muslims going completely berserk with rage.
Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed that his forces had achieved “complete victory” over the jihadist regime. “Naturally, there might be some spots of resistance, but the military work has been largely completed in the area and at the time. Completed with a full victory, I repeat, with a victory and defeat of the terrorists.”
Now the focus, Putin says, should be on the political process of stability. The leaders of Russia, Turkey, and Iran are set to convene an all-Syrian congress in the city of Sochi in order to hold a dialogue and lay out plans for future law and order in the region, according to RT. The Russian military will also be responsible for preserving ceasefires and upholding peace in the region.
“In our common opinion, the success on the battlefield that brings closer the liberation of the whole of Syrian territory from the militants paves the way for a qualitatively new stage in the settlement of the crisis. I’m talking about the real prospects of achieving a long-term, comprehensive normalization in Syria, political adjustment in the post-conflict period,” said Putin, in an address.
Russian Army Chief: ‘All ISIS groups in Syria defeated’
Other world powers have previously declared ISIS to be territorially and militarily defeated. In November, Iraqi Prime Minister Hadir Al-Abadi announced total victory over the jihadist group in Iraq mere hours after Iranian President Hassan Rouhani declared that ISIS had been also driven out of Syria, reported Business Insider. Now, the Russians announced that they’ve accomplished their own mission.
Russia’s military forces have liberated all terrorist-held regions, including historically Christian areas where the Islamists embarked on a campaign of bloody genocide against Christian minorities, according to Agenzia Fides. Even the international press, infamously neglectful of Christian persecution, reported that 90% of the large Christian population of central Syria was forcibly expelled and their homes confiscated by ISIS fighters.
The Islamic State’s collapse was rapid and dramatic. Only three years ago, the group broke out in a flash and conquered territory the size of Britain stretching from Aleppo in Syria to Mosul in Iraq. The group lost their original capital in Raqqa earlier in October to U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces.
But the threat from ISIS remains …
While no ISIS settlements remain in Syria and Iraq, the jihadists still hold territorial pockets around the world. In areas including Libya, African nations, and the Philippines, the Islamic State is still vying for power and control, as their ultimate ambition has always been to conquer a global caliphate.
ISIS is even reported to have strongholds in South America, where Iranian-backed Hezbollah militants have been in an unholy alliance with Mexico’s drug cartels to infiltrate the U.S. southern border and plot attacks on our mainland.
